Part of "The Collected Works" series, this book is the first volume of Karl Marx's famous text on the economies of capitalism, "Capital". The translation is based on the Moore and Aveling translation of 1887, but has been revised and supplemented with extensive notes. Aiming to become the definitive English-language edition of the "Collected Works" in 50 volumes, the series will eventually contain all the works of Marx and Engels, whether published in their lifetimes or since, including their complete correspondence and newly discovered works. Almost every volume contains published material published for the first time in English.
